Therapy staff also works closely with the activities department when the participants are taken on community outings, by assisting with the mobility needs of the participants during these outings to encourage walking instead of riding in wheelchairs. Our therapy staff is also instrumental in assessing the needs of our participants in their home as well. Therapists assess the home and make modifications as needed to ensure a safe environment. This may include providing ramps, hand rails or grab bars. |
